General Questions
Absolutely! I know it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming planning outfits, what colours or style suits best, and I am very happy to help guide you and give you a second opinion if you need it.
I also have a selection of beautiful dresses for women and clothes for baby and toddler which you are very welcome to use during your photoshoot.
If the weather isn’t ideal for your photoshoot, I will get in touch with you to reschedule another date.
Newborn Home Stories
A home story is a photography session which takes place in the comfort of your own home.
I would recommend to book as early as possible to ensure availability. The best time to reach out is any time after the 2nd trimester. I’ll put your due date in my diary so I know roughly when to expect to hear from you.
As soon as your little one has arrived, please get in touch to book an a date and time for your photo session. I will aim to photograph in the first 2 weeks of your baby being born depending on when our schedules align and when you feel ready.
If you’re interested in a photoshoot and your little one has already arrived, that’s not a problem, get in touch and I’ll do my best to fit you in!
A typical newborn shoot can last anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on your little one. If you need to take a break to feed your baby, cuddle to calm them down or change their nappy, that’s not a problem at all, you can take all the time you need. I plan extra time for newborns to ensure there’s no rush, and importantly no stress.
Some babies sleep through the photoshoot, some are a little fussy and need lots more cuddles and opportunities to eat. We can take as many breaks as needed, and however they are on the day of the photoshoot, please be reassured that we will still be able to capture beautiful photos of your baby.
If your baby is a little older, and you’ve missed that 2-week window, that’s absolutely no problem. The newborn stage lasts until around 3 months, and every stage is so worth capturing.
Family Photoshoot
The best time of day for a family photoshoot really depends on the look you want to achieve. Golden hour is around an hour before sunset and you can get that lovely, dreamy summer light, however I know it can be a bit late for many families. We can discuss what time of day would fit into your family’s routine and I will suggest an outdoor location which best suits the time you’ve chosen.
Yes, of course! My family photoshoot package is for up to 6 people, so if you are expecting more family members, please let me so I can send you a custom price for the photoshoot.
Yes! You are very welcome to bring your fury family member to our photoshoot. Please do let me know if you plan to bring your pet so I can make sure our location is pet friendly.
Your photoshoot would take place outdoors, either at one of my favourite locations, or if you have a location that means a lot to you and your family, I would be very happy to take a look and see if it would be suitable for our photoshoot.
Maternity Photoshoot
Depending on the time of year and the look you’d like to achieve, you could either have the photo session in the comfort of your home, or at one of my outdoor locations. We can discuss this before your photoshoot and decide which option best suits you and the look you want to achieve.
You are very welcome to bring a change of clothing, or any other meaningful objects like an ultrasound or baby shoes. We can discuss this prior to your photo session.
